The Palace of Assembly is part of the Chandigarh Capitol Complex, designed by Le Corbusier after Jawaharlal Nehru commissioned him to design the new capital city. It was built from 1951 to 1962 and opened on April 15, 1964. The article calls it modernist and lists it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2016.

The circular assembly chamber is placed off-center in the space. Ramps replace stairs, and the interior has high ceilings and narrow columns. A ceremonial door has enameled panels depicting cosmic and natural imagery.

The building houses the Punjab and Haryana Legislative Assemblies, which share one campus. The article gives no materials beyond the door panels.
