The Øresund Bridge links Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden, across the Øresund strait. Georg Rotne is named as architect, and the engineers were Jørgen Nissen, Klaus Falbe Hansen and Niels Gimsing. Øresundsbro Konsortiet, owned equally by the Danish and Swedish states, owns it. Construction began in 1995 and finished on August 14, 1999, and the bridge opened on July 1, 2000.

It is a combined road and rail cable-stayed bridge with steel truss access spans and concrete piers. It is 7,845 meters (25,738 feet) long and 23.5 meters wide, and its pylons rise 204 meters (669 feet). The main span is 490 meters. It joins the Øresund Tunnel at the artificial island of Peberholm.

Critics called the design brutalist, and Rotne wanted it to express strength. Tolls in 2024 were 455 Danish kroner, 673 Swedish kronor or 61 euros. The article gives no opening hours.
