One Central Park stands at 28 Broadway in Chippendale, Sydney. Ateliers Jean Nouvel of Paris and PTW Architects of Sydney designed it. Frasers Property, in a joint venture with Sekisui House, developed it, and Besix Watpac built it. Groundbreaking came in 2012, the west tower was complete in May 2013, and the official opening followed in December 2013.
Two residential towers rise from a six-level retail base. The height is 384 feet (117 meters), with 34 floors above ground and 4 below. The development holds 623 apartments and 625 car spaces. Planter boxes hang from the facade on floor slabs, and a cantilevered heliostat hangs from the east tower's 28th floor.
About 85,000 plants cover the facade, and the article calls it the world's tallest vertical garden at over 164 feet (50 meters). The heliostat reflects daylight into the atrium. The towers earned a 5-star Green Star rating in 2013.
