The Ōita Prefectural Art Museum at 2-1 Kotobuki-machi in Ōita was designed by Shigeru Ban and is owned by Ōita Prefecture. It opened in April 2015. The article gives no style, construction dates or materials, apart from glass shutters at ground level.

Fully retractable glass shutters open the main exhibition space onto a public plaza. The museum has modern exhibition spaces, artists' studios, a cafe and a shop.

The permanent collection holds over 5,000 works, focused on artists connected with Ōita. The museum won a RIBA International Award in 2016. Its exhibition spaces are modern, and the ground floor opens toward the plaza through the retractable glass shutters. The museum is in Ōita city and is owned by the prefecture.
