NRG Stadium in Houston, originally Reliant Stadium, was designed by HOK Sport, now Populous, which led the schematic design. Houston Stadium Consultants, a joint venture of Hermes Reed Architects and Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, was architect of record. The Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation owns it, and ASM Global operates it. Groundbreaking was on March 9, 2000, and it opened on August 24, 2002. It cost $352 million.

It was the first NFL facility with a retractable roof. The two fabric roof panels split at the 50-yard line and can open or close in as little as seven minutes. The article says the design uses the principles of kinetic architecture and names no style.

Capacity is 72,220, expandable to 80,000. Concourses open to the field through extensive glass. The article gives no hours or ticket details.
