The Nobel Peace Center in Oslo occupies the former Vestbanestasjon station building, drawn in 1872 by Georg Andreas Bull. David Adjaye led the creative design, including the color schemes, and the American designer David Small developed the hi-tech installations. The station stopped serving trains in 1989, and the center opened in 2005 in a ceremony led by King Harald V. The article gives no style, materials or dimensions.

It stands on City Hall Square, overlooking the harbor close to Oslo City Hall. The center presents the Nobel Peace Prize, its laureates and their work, and the story of Alfred Nobel. Multimedia and interactive technology carry the exhibitions, and temporary shows are fully sponsored.

It is a foundation with a board appointed by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Funding comes from the Ministry of Culture, private sponsors and admission fees. About 250,000 people visit each year. The article gives no hours.
