The Newseum at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., was designed by Polshek Partnership Architects, led by James Stewart Polshek. The Freedom Forum, which also ran the museum, bought the site from the District for $100 million. The article names no style. The museum reopened there on April 11, 2008, after delays.

The development covered 643,000 square feet (59,700 m²), with about 250,000 square feet (23,000 m²) of exhibition space on seven levels. The facade was mostly glass, and a large opening that Polshek called a window on the world let passersby see into the atrium. A 74-foot (23 m) Tennessee marble tablet engraved with the First Amendment stood beside the entrance.

The Freedom Forum agreed in 2019 to sell the property to Johns Hopkins University for $372.5 million, and the museum closed on December 31, 2019. The building reopened in 2023 as the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center.
