The New Europe Bridge crosses the Danube at river kilometer 796, between Vidin in Bulgaria and Calafat in Romania. The firm Fernández Casado designed it, and FCC Construcción built it. A Vidin-based company runs the bridge, and the article names no client. Construction began on May 13, 2007, and the bridge opened on June 14, 2013.

It is an extradosed bridge that carries both road and rail. The total length is 6,467 feet (1,971 meters), and the main span is 591 feet (180 meters). The article mentions concrete segments and piles but gives no full list of materials.

The deck holds four road lanes, one rail track and a path for bicycles and pedestrians.
