The National Taichung Theater is an opera house at 101 Section 2, Huilai Road in Taichung's Xitun District. Toyo Ito designed it with Cecil Balmond of Arup AGU, and the National Performing Arts Center is the owner. The article names no style or materials. The contract with Ito was signed on November 11, 2009, with construction planned for 45 months.

The building covers about 57,685 m² and its grand theater seats 2,014. Its lobby includes breathing holes on level 2. Level 5 has a gift shop and the Tutu Gallery. It opened in part on November 23, 2014, then closed in 2015 for safety works. The infobox gives September 30, 2016 as its official opening.

The government first proposed a National Musical House in 1992, and Jason Hu proposed Taichung as its site in 2002. It became an artistic affiliate of the National Performing Arts Center on August 25, 2016.
