The National Museum of Norway stands at Vestbanen in Oslo. The German firm Kleihues + Schuwerk won the 2010 international competition with a project called Forum Artis. The museum is managed by the Ministry of Culture, and the site was decided in spring 2008. It opened in June 2022, with a cost frame of about 5.3 billion kroner presented in 2013. The article gives no style, materials or dimensions.

It houses the full collections of five former museums, over 400,000 works, including the first version of Edvard Munch's The Scream from 1893. The site was decided in spring 2008, the competition was won in November 2010, and the Stortinget set the cost frame on June 6, 2013.

Critics have derided the building, with some saying it looks like a prison.
