The National Museum of Korea in Yongsan Family Park, Seoul, is the flagship museum of Korean history and art. The article names no architect, client or style. The museum was established on December 3, 1945, and its collection began with the Imperial Household Museum of 1909. The new building opened on October 28, 2005, after planning began in 1993. A relocated helipad delayed the opening.

The building covers 295,551 square meters (3.2 million sq ft), which the article ranks as the sixth largest museum in the world by floor space. It is built to withstand a magnitude 6.0 earthquake. Display cases sit on shock-absorbing platforms, and a natural lighting system is used. Notable pieces include the Great Bell of Bosingak and the Gyeongcheonsa Ten-Story Pagoda.

Over 310,000 pieces are held, and about 15,000 are on display at once. It drew 3,788,785 visitors in 2024.
