The National Art Center in Tokyo was designed by Kisho Kurokawa, his final completed project. It was a joint project of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' NACT Establishment Office and the National Museums Independent Administrative Institution. The text says planning began in 1996, construction started in 2002 and the building was completed on June 14, 2006. The infobox gives only the January 21, 2007 establishment date.

The article names no formal style. The concept is a museum in a forest, with a wave-like glass curtain wall facade. The site is 30,000 square meters, with 49,830 square meters of floor area, one basement and four floors above ground. Six exhibition rooms each have about 1,000 square meters and 8 m ceilings.

The infobox lists 2,271,487 visitors in 2023. It connects directly to Nogizaka Station. The article gives no hours, fees or cost.
