The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad was designed by Populous, with Walter P Moore as roof structural engineer. The Gujarat Cricket Association owns and operates it. Demolition of the old stadium began in October 2015, and Larsen & Toubro began the build on January 16, 2017. It opened on February 24, 2020. It cost 800 crore rupees. The article names no style.

The stadium covers 63 acres and holds about 132,000 people. Y-shaped columns support the stands, so no pillars block views. A lightweight roof with a PTFE membrane canopy sits apart from the seating bowls to improve earthquake resistance. It has 11 center pitches, 76 corporate boxes and an Olympic-size pool.

It hosted the first day-night Test between India and England in 2021 and the 2023 Cricket World Cup final. Coldplay played here in January 2025 to a record 111,989.
