The Musikverein in Vienna's Innere Stadt was designed by Theophil Hansen for the Society of Friends of Music in Vienna, on land granted by Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1863. The article gives no construction dates. It was inaugurated on January 6, 1870. The text describes the style as Neoclassical, in the manner of an ancient Greek temple.

The article mentions thick plaster walls, perforated metal panels and gold-leaf glass panels. The Great Hall is 161 by 62 feet (49 by 19 m) and 59 feet (18 m) high in the text, while a table gives 17.75 m. It has 1,744 seats plus about 300 standing places.

The Scandal Concert took place in 1913, and underground halls were completed in 2004. It is the home of the Vienna Philharmonic and the venue of the annual New Year's Concert. The article gives no hours.
