The Museum of the Portuguese Language is in the Estação da Luz in São Paulo, at Door A in front of the Pinacoteca do Estado. Paulo Mendes da Rocha and his son Pedro designed the renovation. The concept came from the São Paulo Secretary of Culture with the Roberto Marinho Foundation. The project was conceived in 2001 and cost about 37 million reais. It was dedicated on March 20, 2006.

A fire on December 21, 2015 closed it. It reopened on March 12, 2020 after restoration. The article gives no style, so Brutalism is an assumption.

Exhibits are largely virtual, including the Rua da Língua, a 100-meter projection wall. A terrace overlooks the Luz station clock tower and Luz Garden.
