The Museum of Memory and Human Rights stands in Santiago, Chile, and documents human rights abuses under the Pinochet dictatorship. A group of Brazilian architects from the São Paulo office Estudio América won the design competition, and the result was announced in August 2007. President Michelle Bachelet announced the project for the Chilean government.

The first stone was laid on December 10, 2008. Bachelet inaugurated the museum on January 11, 2010, as part of Chile's bicentennial commemorations. A company called Árbol de Color S. A. was selected to operate it in 2008. The article does not state the museum's size, materials, structure or style.

Exhibits include torture devices, letters that prisoners wrote to their families, newspaper clippings and survivor testimony. Víctor Jara's poem Estadio Chile spans the entrance. About 150,000 people visit each year.
