The Museum of Islamic Art in Doha was designed by I. M. Pei, with Wilmotte Associates designing the interior galleries and Leslie E. Robertson Associates as structural engineer. Qatar Museums is the client and owner. Baytur Construction built it, with work dated to 2006. The infobox gives November 22, 2008 as established, and the public opened on December 8, 2008.

The article says the design draws on traditional Islamic architecture with a modern, geometric form. It has a creamy limestone exterior and a glass facade on the north side. The building covers about 45,000 square meters in a park of about 290,000.

It closed for renovation until 2022, and sources conflict on the reopening date, citing both October 4 and 5. It received carbon-neutral certification in November 2022. It has galleries covering the 7th to 20th centuries, a library, a restaurant and the adjoining MIA Park. The article gives no hours.
