The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston grew from a Greek Neoclassical building by William Ward Watkin. The infobox says established 1900, but the text says the site was dedicated in 1917 and the first building opened in 1924. Later architects include Kenneth Franzheim for the Blaffer Wing (1953), Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Cullinan Hall (1958) and the Brown Pavilion (1974), Rafael Moneo for the Beck Building (2000) and Steven Holl for the Kinder Building (2020). Isamu Noguchi designed the sculpture garden. The article names no client.

The article gives no building materials. The Sarofim Campus covers 14 acres, with over 300,000 square feet of exhibition space. The Kinder Building is given as 164,000 square feet in one place and 237,213 in another.

A lawsuit over a Bellotto painting was resolved in the museum's favor in May 2024. About 900,000 people visited in 2023. The article gives no hours or fees.
