Museum Brandhorst at Theresienstraße 35a in Munich was designed by Sauerbruch Hutton. Udo Brandhorst donated the collection to the State of Bavaria, which funded construction at a cost of 67 million dollars. It opened on May 21, 2009. The article names no style and gives no construction dates.

The facade has 36,000 vertical ceramic louvres in 23 different colored glazes. The building is a long, two-story rectangle with white gallery walls and Danish oak floors. Three exhibition areas connect by stairs, with a Media Suite.

An irregular octagonal room holds Cy Twombly's 12-part Lepanto cycle. The museum has the largest Twombly collection outside the US, with more than 60 works, and about 100 by Andy Warhol.
