Münster Cathedral has no named architect in the article. The Chapter of the New Cathedral built it, not the bishop, though Bishop Dietrich III von Isenberg laid the foundation stone in 1225. Construction ran from 1225 to 1264, with consecration on September 30, 1264. The infobox gives no dates. The Romanesque westwerk dates from 1192.

The article describes a Romanesque westwerk and towers combined with a Gothic nave, transepts, high choir and chapels, under a copper roof of about 5,500 square meters. It is about 358 feet (109 m) long. The nave is 93 feet (28.3 m) wide and 74 feet (22.5 m) high.

Bombing in World War II heavily damaged it, and rebuilding ran from 1946 to 1956. A renovation from 2009 to 2013 cost about 14 million euros, and it reopened on February 15, 2013. It is the Catholic cathedral of the Diocese of Münster and the bishop's seat. The article gives no hours.
