Morača Monastery in Montenegro was founded in 1252 by Stefan Vukanović, son of the Zetan Grand Prince Vukan Nemanjić. The infobox lists him as architect and says completed in 1252, while the text names no architect and says only founded. The main church is a one-nave building in the Rascian style, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. The infobox adds a Byzantine label that the text does not support. Two main portals are Romanesque.
Thirteenth-century frescoes include eleven compositions on the prophet Elias, stylistically similar to those at Sopoćani. Sixteenth-century frescoes include two Last Judgement scenes dated 1577 to 1578.
Ottomans burned the monastery in 1505, and it stood abandoned for about 70 years. Monks Tomo and Mojsije led a reconstruction from 1574 to 1580. In July 1944 the third session of the Yugoslav land assembly was held here. It is an active Serbian Orthodox monastery. The article gives no hours.
