The Mies Building is a two-level glass and steel pavilion for Indiana University's Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design in Bloomington. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe drew it in 1952 as a fraternity house for the university's Pi Lambda Phi chapter. The project was canceled in 1957 for lack of funding.
Sidney Eskenazi rediscovered the plans in 2013, and consultants found the original blueprints at the Museum of Modern Art in 2014. Thomas Phifer and Partners oversaw the built version, which adheres closely to Mies's plans. It was dedicated in June 2021.
The building measures 60 by 140 feet (18 by 43 meters), with about 10,000 square feet (930 square meters) on two levels. It stands 8 feet (2.4 meters) above ground on piers, with an open-air atrium through the upper story. Materials include painted steel, glass, white terrazzo and gray limestone.
