The Melbourne Recital Centre stands at Southbank Boulevard and Sturt Street in the Melbourne Arts Precinct. Ashton Raggatt McDougall designed it, with Arup as acoustic and theater consultant. The infobox lists Melbourne Recital Centre Ltd. as owner, under the Government of Victoria. It opened in 2009 as part of a complex with the Southbank Theatre. The article names no style and gives no construction dates.

The main hall, Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, seats 1,000 on two levels in a modified shoe box shape. Its interior is lined with Hoop Pine plywood. The hall sits inside 250 millimeters of concrete on 38 steel springs, which isolate noise from traffic. The Salon seats 136.

The centre hosts more than 500 events a year, mostly classical and chamber music. In 2009 the complex won the Moore Stephens National Award for Public Buildings. The article gives no hours or ticket prices.
