The McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey, was designed by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners for the McLaren Group. The Environment Secretary approved it in March 1997 as a green-belt exception, and construction ran from 1998 to 2003. It was inaugurated on May 12, 2004 and was shortlisted for the 2005 Stirling Prize. The article calls the style modern.

The glass-walled main building consolidated 18 sites into one on 50 hectares. Its working "fingers" are 18 m wide and its corridors, or "streets," are 6 m wide. Artificial lakes of about 50,000 m³ provide cooling. It contains a 700-seat restaurant, a pool, a fitness center and an underground visitor center. A 145 m wind tunnel with 400 tonnes of steel followed in 2023.

BBC estimates put the cost at £300 million. The article gives no visitor hours.
