The Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth houses the Tudor warship Mary Rose and its artefacts. WilkinsonEyre and Perkins&Will designed the 2013 building, Warings built it, and the Mary Rose Trust owns and runs it. The ship hall was demolished in December 2009 to allow construction. The museum opened at the end of May 2013. The article names no style or materials.
It was built over the ship in its dry dock, a listed monument. During construction the ship sat in a hotbox for conservation and was sprayed with polyethylene glycol. Controlled air drying began in April 2013. A 2016 redevelopment cost £5.4 million and ended with a reopening on July 20, 2016.
The collection holds about 19,000 artefacts. It drew 364,295 visitors in 2017 and over a million since the original museum opened in 1984. The article gives no hours.
