Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall sits at the northeast corner of the original Carnegie Mellon campus in Pittsburgh, within the bounds of Forbes Avenue, Margaret Morrison Street, Tech Street and Frew Street. Henry Hornbostel designed the original building in the Beaux-Arts style. It was constructed in 1906 and 1907, with further work in 1914. A curved entrance with Doric columns opens onto an oval courtyard.
Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, working with Pierre Zoelly, handled a major phase of work from 1990 to 1996. The building also carries a fourth-story glass penthouse of about 7,000 square feet (650 square meters), known as the Intelligent Workplace.
Carnegie Mellon's campus tour page says the hall hosts facilities for the schools of Architecture and Design.
