The Joe and Rika Mansueto Library at the University of Chicago was designed by Helmut Jahn, who was chosen in February 2006. Construction began in 2008, and it was dedicated in late 2011. It stands next to the Regenstein Library. The article names no style, and describes an elliptical glass dome over a reading room.

The dome rises 35 feet (10.7 m) at its highest point and measures 240 feet (73 m) long by 120 feet (37 m) wide. Below it, closed bookstacks hold 3.5 million volumes in an automated storage and retrieval system with robotic cranes.

It won an AIA Chicago Distinguished Building Award in 2011 and was a finalist at the Architizer A+ Awards. It appears in the film Divergent. The article gives no hours or access rules.
