The Maison de la Culture de Grenoble stands on Avenue Marcellin-Berthelot. André Wogenscky designed the original building for the 1968 Winter Olympics, and André Malraux inaugurated it on February 3, 1968. Antoine Stinco led the renovation, which reopened on September 17, 2004 and cost 38 million euros. The article states no style, and Modernism is an assumption.

It is a public institution of cultural cooperation funded by the Ministry of Culture, the City of Grenoble and the Isère General Council. It has four auditoriums, two of them seating 1,000. The main hall, lined with wood paneling, was built during the renovation to replace a rotating theater.

About 100,000 spectators visit each year.
