The Lviv Town Hall stands at 1 Market Square in Lviv. It was built between 1827 and 1835, with a new tower built from 1830 to 1835. The architects named in the source are Alois Wondraszka, Jerzy Głogowski, Joseph Markl and Franz Trescher. The style is Viennese Classical.
The building has four stories around an inner courtyard, and a clock tower rises 213 feet (65 meters). The original clock tower collapsed in 1848 during revolutionary unrest, and it was repaired in 1851.
Since 1939 the building has housed the Lviv City Council. The town hall and its tower have been open to visitors since 2000. It stands within the Historic City Centre ensemble of Lviv, a UNESCO-listed site.
