The Luis Ángel Arango Library in Bogotá belongs to the Banco de la República through its Banrepcultural network. The Esguerra Saenz Urdaneta Samper firm designed its expansion in three phases. Germán Samper designed the Concert Hall, and Rafael Esguerra García the Periodicals Archive hall with its concrete dome and skylights. The first new section opened in 1958 and the second, with the concert hall and art gallery, opened on May 5, 1990.

The article calls the two modern sections modern and international architecture. The complex covers about 45,000 square meters across two city blocks. It includes the Botero Museum and an interior mural by Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar.

The library seats 1,900 readers and drew 6.7 million visitors in 2008.
