The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk was designed by Jørgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert for Knud W. Jensen, who contacted the architects after Jørn Utzon declined. The infobox lists the second architect as Claus Wohlert, while the text says Vilhelm. It opened in 1958 around a villa built in 1855 by Alexander Brun.
The article calls it a modernist landmark in Danish architecture and says the North Wing drew on Rudolph Schindler's Kings Road House and Richard Neutra's Bailey House. Jensen bought the property in 1955. Later additions are the West Wing in 1966 and 1971, a concert hall in 1976 and the South Wing in 1982.
It sits on the Øresund coast about 19 miles (30 km) north of Copenhagen, with a sculpture garden overlooking the sea that includes works by Calder, Moore and Arp. It stages six to ten temporary exhibitions a year and had 715,820 visitors in 2024.
