Liège-Guillemins is the main station in Liège, one of four Belgian stations on the high-speed network, and Santiago Calatrava designed the current building. It opened officially on September 18, 2009, and cost 312 million euros. The article gives no style for it or construction start date. It uses steel, glass and white concrete.

A monumental arch is 525 feet (160 m) long and 105 feet (32 m) high over nine tracks and five platforms. The station replaced a modern 1958 building, which the article calls much criticized, because the old platforms were too small for high-speed trains. Eurostar and ICE trains reach 300 km/h, and Brussels is 39 minutes away.

It stands on the former Guillemites convent site. A first wooden station opened in 1842, and rebuilds followed in 1863, 1882, 1905, 1958 and 2009. SNCB/NMBS owns and operates it, and 6.26 million passengers used it in 2009.
