The Lanyang Museum in Toucheng Township, Yilan County, is a local-history museum designed by the firm Artech, with a team led by Kris Yao. The Yilan County Government set up its planning committee. Artech won the design and construction contract in April 2000, and construction began on August 2, 2004.

The design is inspired by the cuestas along the Beiguan Coast. The roof rises from the ground at 20 degrees and meets a wall rising at 70 degrees, so the building seems to emerge from the earth. Exhibits cover Yilan's mountains, plains and sea.

A first stage opened to reserved groups on May 18, 2010, and the museum opened to the public on October 16, 2010. It lies within walking distance of Toucheng Station. The article gives no materials, hours or admission.
