La Samaritaine is a department store in Paris's first arrondissement, at the corner of Rue du Pont-Neuf and Rue de la Monnaie. Ernest Cognacq opened it in 1870 with his wife Marie-Louise Jaÿ. Frantz Jourdain redesigned the first store in 1891, designed the second, which opened in 1910, and later its 1930 and 1932 expansions. Jourdain and Henri Sauvage added the Seine extension in 1926 to 1928. The infobox lists Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

A steel and glass skeleton carries ceramic facade panels in yellow, white, green and gold. Two octagonal glass-brick domes light up at night. Inside are a light court, a monumental stair and floral frescoes. The building has 48,000 square meters of floor area.

It was listed as a monument historique in 1990, closed in 2005 and reopened in June 2021. SANAA designed new facades. It now holds the Cheval Blanc hotel, a nursery, offices and social housing. The article gives no hours.
