The Kronstadt Naval Cathedral was designed by Vasily Kosyakov, with interiors and finishes by his brother Georgy Kosyakov, for the Imperial Russian Navy. Admiral Pavel Tyrtov initiated it, and Admiral Stepan Makarov took control. Baltic Fleet servicemen contributed funds, and later mostly the state treasury. The infobox gives completion on June 10, 1913. The lead says 1903 to 1913, while the body dates groundbreaking to October 27, 1901 and wall-laying to May 8, 1903.

The article calls the style late Neo-Byzantine. It has a black granite base and columns, yellow brick walls with terra cotta inserts and a Ural marble iconostasis. The interior is 254 by 178 feet (77.3 by 54.4 m), and it is 232 feet (70.6 m) high with a capacity of 5,000.

It closed in 1929, became a cinema in 1932 and an officers' club in 1939. It was reconsecrated in 2013. The article gives no hours.
