The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts at 300 South Broad Street in Philadelphia was designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, with Artec Consultants as acousticians. Ensemble Arts and The Philadelphia Orchestra are listed as owner and operator. Construction began in 1998, and it opened on December 16, 2001, in an unfinished state. The article names no style.

A vaulted glass ceiling encloses the building. Marian Anderson Hall seats 2,500, and the Perelman Theater seats 650 on a 75-foot turntable stage. The SEI Innovation Studio is a 2,688-square-foot black-box theater.

Marian Anderson Hall holds a Dobson pipe organ, Opus 76, which the article calls the largest mechanical-action pipe organ in an American concert hall. A roof garden sits above the Perelman Theater. The building is open to the public seven days a week, and free tours run regularly.
