The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts at 1601 Broadway in Kansas City was designed by Moshe Safdie, with BNIM as associate architect and Arup as engineer. The Muriel McBrien Kauffman Foundation launched the project. Ground was broken on October 6, 2006, and the center opened on September 16, 2011. It cost about $413 million. The article names no style.

The building covers 285,000 square feet (26,500 m²). Two venues share backstage space: the 1,800-seat Muriel Kauffman Theatre and the 1,600-seat Helzberg Hall, with vineyard-style seating. Helzberg Hall holds a pipe organ with 5,548 pipes. The Brandmeyer Great Hall has a glass south facade with 27 steel cables.

The glass covers about 40,000 square feet. The article gives no hours or ticket prices.
