Kalmar Cathedral in Sweden was designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Elder for the Church of Sweden. The text says construction began in 1660, was interrupted, including by the Scanian War from 1675 to 1679, and finished in 1703. The infobox gives 1703 as completion but also lists a consecration in 1682, which the text does not mention.
The article calls the style Classical Baroque. It uses Gotland limestone masonry, with brick vaults, portals and window surrounds, and a copper-plated roof. It gives no dimensions.
A major fire struck in 1800. Restorations came in 1831 to 1834, 1882 to 1883, 1910 to 1914, 1928 to 1932, 1981 to 1982 and 2005 to 2011, the last including raising and expanding the choir. It is an active cathedral and parish church in the Diocese of Växjö. The article gives no hours.
