The JW Marriott Panama stands in Punta Pacifica, Panama City. It is 284.4 meters tall, the tallest building in Panama and in Central America, and has 70 floors. The Colombian firm Arias Serna Saravia designed it, and K Group and Newland International Properties developed it. Construction began in May 2007, and it opened on July 6, 2011, at a cost of US$400 million.
The design is a 13-story base topped by a tower that resembles the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. The complex has a five-star hotel with 369 hotel condominium units and 628 residential condominium units. It also has 36 retail shops, a ten-story office tower and a casino.
Its earlier names include Trump Ocean Club. It was renamed JW Marriott on September 26, 2018, and Marriott International operates it.
