Jones Hall is the home of the Department of Architecture at the University of Memphis. The university describes it as sited in the center of the main campus, at 3720 Alumni Avenue. The administrative offices are on the fourth floor, and the design studios and instructional spaces are on the third and fourth floors. A small model-assembly shop is in the basement.
The Department of Architecture Gallery is on the west side of the lobby. Each student in a design studio has a personal workspace with a drafting table and chair, open day and night. Other spaces include classrooms, two Visualization and Media labs, a graduate computer lab, a lighting lab, a photography room and a resource library.
About 50 computer stations offer software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite. The department shares a wood shop with the Department of Art in the Art and Architecture Shop, in the annex immediately north of Jones Hall.
