Itamaraty Palace in Brasília, also called the Palácio dos Arcos, was designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Joaquim Cardozo did the structural calculations, Milton Ramos the executive design and Roberto Burle Marx the gardens. The Brazilian government owns it, and the infobox calls the style Modernist. President Kubitschek laid the cornerstone on September 12, 1960, and it was inaugurated in April 1970.

It is a glass box held between two concrete slabs, with a colonnade of round arches. It stands 49 feet (15 m) high on a footprint of 276 by 276 feet (84 by 84 m). A spiral interior staircase is among its best-known features. The sculpture Meteoro by Bruno Giorgi stands above the reflecting pool.

It houses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the head of state receives foreign leaders there. Brazil listed it as national heritage in 2007. The article gives no visiting hours.
