The Investcorp Building houses the Middle East Centre at St Antony's College, Oxford. Zaha Hadid Architects designed it, and it was built between 2013 and 2015. It sits west of the college buildings at 66 and 68 Woodstock Road.
The facade is clad in stainless steel that reflects natural light. The curved west wall of the library reading room bends around a century-old sequoia tree. The building has 1,200 square meters (about 12,900 square feet) of floor area on a 1,580 square meter site.
A 117-seat lecture theatre sits below ground. It and the archive room use thermal labyrinths for ventilation, which reduces mechanical air handling. A ground source heat pump protects the collection. AKTII was the structural engineer.
