The Inujima Art Project is on Inujima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea near Okayama. Hiroshi Sambuichi designed the architecture with the artist Yukinori Yanagi, for the Naoshima Fukutake Art Museum Foundation, a project of Benesse Corporation. It opened to the public in April 2008. The article gives no construction dates or dimensions.

The centerpiece is a former copper refinery that opened in 1909 and closed in 1919. It was brick-built and largely left undemolished, and the museum reuses its brick. It also reuses elements of the former house of Yukio Mishima.

The article describes the concept as contemporary architecture and art that recycles Japanese industrial heritage. A ferry runs between Hōden and the island.
