Incheon International Airport sits on reclaimed land between Yeongjong and Yongyu islands, about 48 kilometers (30 miles) west of Seoul. Curtis W. Fentress of Fentress Architects designed Terminal 1. Terry Farrell and Partners, with Samoo Architects & Engineers, designed the transport center, and Gensler designed Terminal 2. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport owns the airport and Incheon International Airport Corporation operates it. The article names no style or materials.

Construction began in November 1992. The infobox gives the opening as March 29, 2001, while the text says March 21. Terminal 1 covers 496,000 square meters, is 1,060 meters long, 149 meters wide and 33 meters high, and cost 5.632 trillion won.

The airport has four runways of 3,750 to 4,000 meters and 111 boarding gates in total.
