The Idaho State Capitol in Boise was designed by John E. Tourtellotte and Charles Hummel of Tourtellotte & Hummel for the State of Idaho. Construction began in 1905. The infobox gives completion in 1912, with the wings finished in 1920, but the main text says the building was completed in 1920.
The article calls the style Classical Revival, inspired by ancient Roman and Greek architecture and by St. Peter's Basilica, St Paul's Cathedral and the U.S. Capitol. The exterior is sandstone quarried at Table Rock in Ada County, with four marble types and scagliola and plaster pillars. The building is 208 feet (63 m) high with 201,720 square feet of area.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 12, 1976. Underground legislative wings, first funded at about 130 million dollars in 2006, were scaled back during the recession and finished in 2010. The article gives no hours.
