Hotel National in Moscow was designed by Alexander Ivanov and financed by the Varvarinskoe Joint-Stock Company of Householders. Construction began in 1901, and the hotel opened on January 14, 1903. The infobox gives only the opening date, and the text notes some sources list January 1 because of the Julian calendar. The article names no style, materials or dimensions.
It has six stories, and a 1915 plan to add two floors never began. The infobox lists 202 rooms, but the text says it opened with 160, so 202 appears to be the current count. In 1918 it housed the first Soviet government, and Lenin stayed in room 107 for seven days.
It was renovated in 1931 and 1932 and merged with the adjacent Hotel Intourist in 1983. A falling facade piece closed it in 1989, and it reopened in 1995. Marriott ended its management in 2022. The article gives no access details.
