The Hospicio Cabañas in Guadalajara was designed by Manuel Tolsá for Juan Ruiz de Cabañas, Bishop of Guadalajara, as a combined workhouse, hospital, orphanage and almshouse. The infobox gives 1796 to 1810. The text says the complex was founded in 1810 and that construction continued after Cabañas died in 1823, until 1829.
The article calls the style Classical, based on examples including Les Invalides in Paris. It names no materials. The plan is a rectangle of 538 by 476 feet (164 by 145 m). The single-story buildings are 25 feet (7.5 m) high, and the chapel is about twice that, with a dome rising to 107 feet (32.5 m).
It served as barracks in the mid-19th century and as a hospital until 1980, when the Cabañas Cultural Institute moved in. It has been a UNESCO site since 1997 and holds José Clemente Orozco's frescoes of 1936 to 1939. The article gives no hours.
