Hopperstad Stave Church in Vik is a wooden church whose original builders are unknown. The infobox gives about 1130, and the text says around 1130 and possibly between 1130 and 1150. Dendrochronology gave 1034 to 1116, which the text calls inconclusive. Peter Andreas Blix led the 1884 to 1891 reconstruction, modeled on the Borgund and Urnes stave churches.
The infobox lists Romanesque and Gothic, and the text describes a Borgund-type triple-nave stave church with an apsidal choir. Capacity is about 30 people. Galleries and additions were built in the 1600s and 1700s, and the north new church was torn down around 1875.
It closed in 1877 after Vik Church was built, then was restored. The Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments bought it in 1880 and owns it. It is mainly a museum, with occasional services. A replica stands in Moorhead, Minnesota. The article gives no hours.
