The Homomonument stands on Westermarkt in Amsterdam, on the Keizersgracht canal bank near the Westerkerk. Karin Daan designed it, and it was unveiled on September 5, 1987. The Homomonument Foundation, founded in 1979, pursued the project, though the article does not name a commissioner.

The monument is pink granite. It consists of three equilateral triangles with edges of 33 feet (10 meters), joined to form a larger triangle 118 feet (36 meters) on each side.

The three triangles represent the past, the present and the future. An inscription in three languages runs along the canal fence. The article gives the unveiling date but no construction dates, and it does not name an architectural style.
