The Hoftoren, nicknamed De Vulpen or The Fountain Pen, stands at Rijnstraat 50 in The Hague. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates of New York designed it. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science owns it, and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport used it temporarily from 2012. It was built between 1999 and 2003. The article names the style as Modernism but gives no materials.
The tower has a roof height of 141.86 meters (465 feet) and a top floor at 107 meters. Its floor area is 48,000 square meters. The text gives 29 storeys, while the infobox lists 30 floors and two below ground. It is the third-tallest building in The Hague and the eighth-tallest in the Netherlands.
It won the International Highrise Award in 2004. Deerns and Scheldebouw were the engineers, and the article credits Heijmans Bouw as the builder. The tower houses government offices, so it is private.
